Thanks for all for making our trip to Cincy over the weekend a wonderful time. I loved every minute of it. We had a great group, lots of laughs and awesome fellowship. There wasn't a cloud in the sky all day with temps in the low 80's. The game went off in a perfect night for baseball. Cincy is a great baseball town. George Foster was there signing autographs. That's a really great place to experience baseball. Thanks to Kiko and everybody at Pilot plus Barry and his family at Pepsi. Jackie Denny is great people at Todlow Coach. Pate Fee with Hardee's gets a huge thank you as well. Lots of fun all the way around.

You can feel a tinge of chill in the air at night here in Rocky Top. It's right around the corner. This season is going to feel like a great meal at the end of a 10 hour work day. The full squad reports today while practice commences tomorrow. Themes abound. Link

We will carry the 11:30 press conference for Butch Jones today live on the show.

Curious as to how much this will change over the next couple of weeks. Link

American Pharoah is the Rhonda Rousey of the equine world. Link

Speaking of Rousey, who would you like to see step into the octagon with her? I'm starting the vote with Tom Brady.

I'm sure the Rex Ryan era isn't going to be a circus. One of his assistant coaches has been suspended for 6 games. Link

Is Tiger back or did he finish way off the leader board in an off-brand event over the weekend in PGA play? I guess this is all in the eye of the beholder. Link

My Eagles drafted the guy that can't relate to black players. That's really neat. Link

Aw damn...I wanted WVU in the SEC. Apparently it almost happened. Link

Auburn listening to its fans. Even reducing the price of bottled water at football games. Link

If you watched 'our' Mets last night, you no doubt noticed the fake umps last night. They literally stole the show. And it was for a GREAT cause. Link

The days of purchasing a jersey of your favorite college player by # may be coming to a close if this trend sticks. Link

I'll always have a soft spot in my hear for the Special Olympics. My brother Steve was a special needs child who's life was tremendously enhanced by his participation in the Special Olympics. I will always treasure the memories of seeing the joy on the faces of the participants at my brother's events. Really special indeed. Link

Final Four

Friday night’s Iowa-UConn Final Four game had 14.2 million viewers. That’s more than any women’s college basketball game, ever. More than every 2023 NBA Finals game and more than every 2023 World Series game. ESPN has had the rights to NBA games since 2002. But the Final Four game between Iowa and UConn was the networks most-watched basketball game, men’s or women’s, pro or collegiate EVER.... [more]

Missouri Game Preview

The Vols did what they were expected to do against UConn. There's not really much to say about that game. The game this Saturday in Columbia, Missouri will decide whether or not this season is a failure in my opinion. If they Vols lose, they are staring at 8-4 and probably the Gator Bowl. Maybe Reliaquest..... [more]
Connecticut Game Preview

The Vols are coming back to Neyland Stadium and I am returning after a discretionary bye week. I'll be honest with you. This year it seems like I've been writing the same preview over and over because the formula to win has been the same pretty much every SEC game. I didn't want to sound like a broken record so I needed a bit of a break from that.

I'll start with some general observations..... [more]
