NFL Preview

After the first weekend of college football, I think we are in for a great and exciting football season. The teams that looked the most impressive were Georgia and Texas A & M. Georgia has an excellent stable of running backs that will be difficult to stop. A few teams that most expected to dominate their opponents struggled. Florida State, Alabama, and South Carolina to name a few. It will be interesting to see how these teams play out their respective seasons. The Vols looked very good on Sunday night. The offensive line needs work especially with the loss of Gilliam. Worley looked very calm and collected all night. However what I was really impressed with was the defense, which looked much improved from last season. The overall speed was greatly improved and they were swarming to the ball. With that being said, it was against Utah State. I think we will get a better test this week against Arkansas State but ultimately win the game by a pretty large margin.

The NFL season kicks off tomorrow night with Seattle and Green Bay. This will likely be a preview of the NFC championship game. Here are my predictions for the NFL
season.

AFC East- Patriots 12-4
AFC North- Bengals 10-6
AFC South- Colts 12-4
AFC West- Broncos 11-5
AFC Wildcard 1- Dolphins 10-6

AFC Wildcard 2- Steelers 9-7

AFC Championship: Denver 38 Indianapolis 35

NFC East- Eagles 11-5
NFC North- Packers 12-4
NFC South- Saints 11-5
NFC West- Seattle 12-4
NFC Wildcard 1- San Francisco 11-5
NFC Wildcard 2- Chicago 10-6

NFC Championship: Green Bay 24 Seattle 20

Super Bowl: Denver 28 Green Bay 21

Just food for thought, the basketball Vols have been picked to finish dead last in the SEC this year by Sporting News College Basketball Yearbook.
