Welcome to Tuesday!!! It's the day after Cup-check Monday. You were celebrating Jauan Jennings reinstatement while another storm was brewing in the background.
Love The Jennings News!!! LOVE IT!!! Tennessee did the right thing by reinstating Jauan Jennings!!! Now Brady Hoke and John Currie are on permanent and indefinite suspension. Here's a question....Has Jennings been coached? Tony Robinson maintained that Tennessee's wide receivers in recent years didn't develop to a satisfactory level.
QD Is On The Run: Quinten Dormady has made the move. He's outta here.
Link
Dormady is making a mistake here but it's his mistake to make. I respect him immensely but what you must understand is that Dormady was done dirty here by Butch Jones. That's just the fact of the matter.
The Real Inside Inside: Dormady had zero relationship with Jarrett Guarantano. They didn't really speak to each other. And the Butch Jones regime allowed for this to happen. Dormady and Guarantano had basically ZERO relationship. You saw the interplay between the two on the sidelines during games. There was basically none. And I'm not blaming either young man for this. To allow this to fester inside your program is the stuff that winless SEC teams are made of. Why would he want to come back? Think about it. He'd be here in a new offense working behind an offensive line that at this point probably can't be trusted. And this is putting it mildly.
What I Would Say To Dormady: On the other hand, you're here. Do it!!!! Come back for your senior year. Do your thing. Beat out JG and McBride. Don't run. That would've been my advice. But Dormady has put himself in a place to graduate, get married and get on with the show. There's nothing wrong with any of that. My point is that while it would be easy to bag on him for leaving, understand that Quinten Dormady has been done wrong here. And that's a shame because he's better than he showed last year.
What Dormady's Leaving Isn't About: Any trust issues with Coach Jeremy Pruitt. To suggest otherwise would be absurd. Dormady's beef with this place (if he even has one) is with Butch Jones and Butch Jones alone. We really let this kid down. But he's not alone. You could say this about many young men that have come through here in the past decade.
Will Dormady Be Next? I'm talking the next Tennessee QB to leave here and explode elsewhere into an NFL prospect. So far I'm counting Nate Peterman and Riley Ferguson as guys that got away and found themselves.
Is Guarantano Good Enough? Great question. He's going to get his chance. I'm far from sold on him. While he has a nice arm, Guarantano just didn't look D-1 athlete under center. He looks sooo undersized. Those Basketball thigh pads aren't working. That poor fella REALLLLLLY needs to hit the weights. I thought he'd be much quicker and he just looked like a guy that couldn't move enough to survive a full season at the SEC level.
If Guarantano Can't: Will McBride is going to have to. If not than JT Shrout might get an opportunity sooner rather than later. Here's hoping Tennessee can get it right at that position.

Interesting stuff in Tide Country.

Of Course Hugh Freeze is going there. Saban is the only guy that can get away with this. Rev Akeem Freeze is a terrific football coach.

Of Course Jimmy Coaching Shorts Is Smarter Than You: Of Course the Cleveland Browns are tabbing Mularkey to jump start their offense. He's been atrocious in Nashville. Poor Jimmy Coaching Shorts is abysmal.

Lucky Dawgs: It must be nice to catch breaks like this one the Dawgs are catching.

I Can't Tell You Why: I believe this but Tennessee made it look harder than it should ever be.

Bellicheat was salivating over the Jags in training camp.

Jerry Colquitt On The Titans & Mularkey Moving On From Each Other: 'This makes me wonder what's going on with the Adams family and the meddling with that coach. They're obviously starting to improve as a franchise. So now you're going to start over with a new coach with a new philosophy. Now you're going to start over with Mariota. It's got to be something else. Because a different coach with a different philosophy will come in there and hit the restart button on Mariota. This is a real gamble. The way the league is structured now, the truth is you have a 4 year window do get it done. Once you start tinkering with stuff, you run the risk of running off the rails. Especially when you're franchise that doesn't have the best track record under that ownership in recent years.'
I'm not sure Beano should be puffing his chest out over this.

Fun Fact.... The lake Appollonia jumped into in Purple Rain was on the campus of Minnesota State where Vikings breakout WR Adam Thielen went to school. So, now you know.

FAQ's Asked Of Tony Per Our Relaunch Announcement:
Q: Tony, you didn't say anything about your daily show yesterday. Will you continue to do this?
A: Absolutely. I'm looking forward to year #24 with you.
Q: Tony, you used the word 'subscribe'. What Am I subscribing too?
A: Great question. 'Subscribe' is a misnomer. What you actually are doing if you choose to help us monthly (and we need this for budgeting reasons) is actually acting as a patron. The goal is to keep the content (ALL CONTENT, from postgame offerings to various podcasts) free for all.

Posted: Sun, Mar 24th, 4:22 PM Q: So, if I'm not subscribing and I'm already reading this, why give?
A: Because you value the content and our contribution to the market and you want to help us keep this stuff free for everybody.
Q: Are you going to beat us up for money all the time here?
A: Absolutely not. I will bring this up a few times heading into the football season as we attempt to meet our financial goals and create new programming. I'll also mention it in the post-game format as well as the regional programming. I will not however wear you out with this. Either you feel the need to help us or you don't. This is why I'm taking today to field some question I received after day one.
Q: What happens if this doesn't generate the revenue you're seeking?
A: We will scale back our online offerings accordingly. The blog itself could even disappear. I really don't want this to happen but will be forced to spend my time in the most profitable way necessary. That's why we're having the conversation. All my cards are on the table here.
Q: Where can I find these new podcasts, like that X-Cast?
A: Click on "Podcast" wherever you see it on the site, and it will take you to our Podcast page.
