Tony,
The countdown to football rolls on as the other sporting options dwindle. The Appalachian State game will be here before we know it.
1. Tennessee appears to be well positioned in the recruitment of Victor Uyaelumno. He would certainly help adress the need for an interior presence.
2. Butch Jones and his staff continue to get the job done on the recruiting trail. The Vols are adding quality talent to buttress the depth of the roster.
3. Louisville was eliminated from the NCAA baseball tournament in the toughest way imaginable. Santa Barbara, on the other hand, had the postseason moment of a lifetime.
4. Miami carries a great deal of swagger to Omaha. The Hurricanes looked really good in dispatching Boston College.
5. It certainly seems Philadelphia has decided on Ben Simmons as the number one pick in the NBA Draft. Adding him as a facilitator will make their young post players better.
6. Germany looks like a well oiled machine in the Euro. It is hard to envision them not making the final.
7. No team in all of sports is more overhyped than the English national squad. They are quite simply just not that good.
8. The Penguins are worthy Stanley Cup champions. Going into that environment and clinching a title cements that.
9. I expect Game Five tonight to be a pure streetfight. Golden State will likely raise the Larry O'Brien Trophy tonight.
